About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic Technical Support team in Athens, Greece. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the stability and reliability of Upstream's infrastructure, which encompasses hardware, software, and applications critical to our revenue-generating projects, operating 24/7 in a rotational shift model.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring our infrastructure, swiftly identifying and resolving issues, providing support to both internal and external users, and contributing to our ongoing automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the Upstream infrastructure, adhering to standard procedures and utilizing available tools.
  • Promptly report, identify, and investigate issues, responding accurately to system errors.
  • Follow established protocols for escalating incidents to the appropriate second-level support teams.
  • Ensure all incidents are accurately recorded and closed in a timely manner.
  • Generate standard reports and maintain high-quality outcomes.
  • Complete operational tasks and respond to ad-hoc requests promptly while ensuring quality results.
  • Deliver technical support by effectively managing and resolving customer inquiries.
  • Review and provide feedback on documentation, suggesting improvements and utilizing scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other languages to automate routine tasks.
