As a Telecommunications CAD Drafter at CoServe Global Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in the design and drafting of CAD drawings, ensuring they are clear, logical, and adhere to company standards. Your responsibilities will include managing the preparation of drawings while keeping project schedules and deadlines in mind. You will collaborate closely with project engineers and managers to uphold design integrity and fulfill contractual obligations related to CAD work in a timely fashion. In this role, you will be accountable for processing drawing mark-ups from field personnel, creating As-Built drawings, and producing architectural contract drawings and specifications for diverse telecommunications projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain CAD drawings for various projects.
- Ensure the CAD drawing library is organized according to company standards, including file naming, directories, and drawing types.
- Manage maintenance of plotters and ensure supplies are available, adhering to service contracts.
- Facilitate effective communication between project managers and engineering teams.
- Proactively pursue ongoing education related to software, hardware, and technologies pertinent to your role.
- Be willing to travel to job sites to develop drawings or As-Built documentation.
- Accurately review and interpret client specifications.
- Receive and process documents from the field and the Infrastructure Services Manager.
- Incorporate field data into design criteria based on specifications.
- Provide project status updates and liaise with the Project Manager regarding timelines.
- Prepare architectural presentation materials using graphic software.
- Deliver thorough, accurate, and complete documentation that meets project standards.
- Contribute to improving and maintaining quality assurance processes, enhancing product quality.
- Maintain proficiency in Computer Aided Design software.
- Develop expertise in telecommunications, infrastructural design, and construction materials and methods.
- Stay updated on layout and construction trends, recommending best practices where applicable.
- Research and propose labor-saving designs and cost-effective construction techniques.
