Required Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN licensure in Minnesota. Obtain current RN licensure in Wisconsin within two months of hire. Minimum of three years of full-time experience in Pediatrics, Critical Care, Emergency Room, Public Health Nursing, OB-GYN, or as a Nurse Practitioner. Proficient typing skills (30 w.p.m.) and computer skills are preferred. Physical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Must possess speech, hearing, and sight capabilities to perform job functions. Manual dexterity is required, along with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Some positions may have specific lifting requirements.

As a CareLine RN, you will provide essential nursing services over the phone, adhering to the HealthPartners CareLine philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent nursing assessments and create care plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Delegate nursing tasks as appropriate.
  • Implement and monitor care plans based on patient requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues and staff.

Accountabilities:

  1. Assess patient needs effectively and document all interactions clearly for medical records.
  2. Make informed decisions regarding the triage plan based on assessment outcomes.
  3. Utilize departmental protocols for patient triage.
  4. Educate patients on their health care options.
  5. Coordinate services with other departments for follow-up care based on patient needs.
  6. Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and foster strong interdependent relationships within the CareLine and across HealthPartners.
