WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDA Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering. A minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial sales experience, or at least 4 years of industrial sales experience if a relevant degree is not held. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience in an industrial environment is essential. Demonstrated ability to train customers and end-users effectively. Capable of using or learning CRM systems. Willingness to travel, with overnight stays, at least 50% of the time. Candidate must reside within the BC territory. A valid driver's license and passport are required. No relocation assistance is provided.

MAKE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

The role of the Industrial Products Territory Sales Manager at Continental is pivotal in our mission to expand our market share within the industrial sector. You will drive new business development and enhance our presence across British Columbia by leveraging Continental’s Authorized Distributor Network. Your responsibilities will encompass nurturing existing relationships, identifying new prospects, and educating local distributors and end-users on our innovative product offerings and services. You will oversee all sales activities across the diverse regions of BC, including northern, interior, coastal, and island markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forge and foster new business relationships with both existing and prospective customers (distributors and end-users) within the industrial sector to meet our Annual Operating Plan objectives for revenue and profitability.
  • Market and sell our engineered products, programs, and services through the Authorized Distributor Network.
  • Provide training and support to distributors and end-users on product features and applications.
  • Devise and implement a strategic plan for regular customer engagements to manage existing accounts while actively seeking new distributor and end-user business opportunities.
  • Represent Continental at industry trade shows to showcase our products and services.
  • Utilize various business and technology tools to efficiently manage territory activities.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of current industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections of conveyor systems and plant equipment, offering valuable solutions in a manufacturing environment, which may involve working in close quarters and at heights.
  • Leverage Salesforce.com, Business Funnel, Territory Share Management, and other analytical tools to enhance financial performance and achieve Annual Operating Plan goals.
  • Be prepared for 50% travel, including overnight stays.
