Key Responsibilities:
In your dynamic role as a Test Development Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Synthesizing test bench requirements based on user and operator needs, and developing necessary verification methods and tests.
Designing P&IDs for test facilities aligned with test bench specifications, selecting components, and performing CAD design of ground support equipment with minimal supervision.
Conducting hazard assessments (FMEA and HAZOPs) of test facility designs to identify required design modifications.
Performing technical trade-offs to choose the most suitable hardware, software, and equipment for various testing environments.
Leading risk assessment analyses for upcoming tests and developing mitigation strategies to ensure personnel and equipment safety; creating clear procedures and guidelines to enhance company processes.
Developing and maintaining test procedures, sequences, scripts, and configuration files necessary for test facilities, particularly for the entry-into-service and commissioning phases.
Selecting control and data acquisition systems in accordance with test requirements and supporting commissioning activities to ensure their proper functionality.
Overseeing the entire lifecycle of test facility development, including design, reviews, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, test operations, ongoing upgrades, and maintenance.
Collaborating with procurement, AIT, and design teams during the development of test facilities to balance technical solutions, cost, and lead time.
Working alongside colleagues to troubleshoot test anomalies and address complex engineering challenges.
Communicating findings to team members and actively participating in design reviews and other collaborative efforts.
