Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Develop motion files, including camera and/or object tracks, that accurately match the original background plate photography. Conduct geometric reconstruction of essential static objects within the scene. Reconstruct the positioning of motion files in the 3D set to ensure precision for each track. Collaborate with different departments to guarantee seamless integration of CG elements into the shot. Render wireframes of scene geometry to be composited over the original plate for accuracy assessment. Thrive in a team-oriented environment and follow direction from the Lead and production team. Essential Skills:A degree in Computer Graphics, Animation, or a related field. Strong grasp of fundamental computer graphics principles. Familiarity with software such as Maya, 3DE, Linux, and a compositing package. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Proven ability to meet deadlines efficiently. Good understanding of photography and the impact of various lenses on perspective. Desirable Skills:Proficiency in Mel and/or Python scripting.

As a Tracking/Matchmove Artist, your role will be to create CG cameras and motion files that replicate the movements of the original background plate. You will also model geometry in the background to reconstruct the static environment, ensuring seamless integration of live-action with CG elements. Your motion files (camera, object, or body track) will be an essential part of the VFX pipeline, facilitating collaboration across various departments.
