We are seeking a skilled Train Freight Conductor (H/F) with RFN certification to join our team in Istres. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of freight trains while diligently preparing for each mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting the train (traction) in compliance with safety regulations.
- Preparing for missions by reviewing and printing necessary documents.
- Performing prescribed checks on the train prior to departure.
- Ensuring the train's technical specifications (e.g., weight limits, KVB coefficient) are suitable for safe operation.
- Carrying out required tests and checks before departure.
- Driving the train responsibly to prevent damage to installations and equipment.
- Strictly adhering to operational rules and procedures.
- Conducting first-level troubleshooting with the available documentation and modifying transport documents when necessary.
- Responding to instructions from the Delegate Infrastructure Manager (GID) regarding installations.
- Assessing conditions to resume operations after any disruptions.
- Maintaining train security as an Accompanying Agent.
Common Operations:
- Complying with safety regulations, including those specific to railway personnel.
- Adhering to safety protocols at each Terminal Installation (ITE), sorting yard, or Private Company.
- Following procedures related to operational incidents and accidents.
- Accurately reporting unusual events encountered during your mission using the designated documentation and at the Central EPF Station.
- Identifying, locating, and promptly reporting any anomalies on installations and equipment to the Delegate Infrastructure Manager (GID) and the Central (PC) EPF.
- Potentially mentoring trainees and fulfilling training obligations for employees in training based on current regulations.
