Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience in client relations and business development.10+ years of progressive experience in project design and delivery. Possession of a Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to secure one within 6 months of employment. Experience as a project manager or lead roadway engineer on Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) projects.

AECOM is actively seeking a Transportation Project Manager to enhance and expand our transportation services in Madison/Middleton, Wisconsin. This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead the planning, design, and execution of transformative transportation infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing mobility and connectivity throughout the region. The ideal candidate will be essential in supporting a well-established team, overseeing ongoing project initiatives, and delivering high-quality solutions for both state and local transportation clients. This position encourages collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, mentorship of junior staff, and contributions to the sustained growth of AECOM’s transportation initiatives in Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transportation projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with state and local transportation agencies.
  • Coordinate efforts among multidisciplinary project teams, including roadway, traffic, structural, drainage, and environmental specialists.
  • Assist in project pursuits, including proposal formulation, scope definition, and cost estimation.
  • Oversee technical design development for roadway and highway projects, complying with relevant standards and client needs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Review engineering calculations, design plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, scope alterations, and resource distribution.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to foster team expansion and the successful delivery of transportation programs in Wisconsin.
