Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated UI/UX Product Designer to spearhead our design initiatives and oversee the entire user experience across our suite of products. As our inaugural design hire, you will be instrumental in shaping our user experience strategy, driving design thinking, and executing innovative product initiatives that will bring state-of-the-art technology to the defense sector. Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams, you will have the unique opportunity to influence both our user interface and our brand identity within a dynamic, mission-driven startup environment.
Your role will involve setting the design vision, working swiftly, and iterating designs to ensure our products are not only functional but also engaging and aesthetically pleasing. There is considerable potential for growth into a leadership position, depending on your experience and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and direct the UX and UI strategy for our organization, defining the design vision and best practices.
Lead the entire product design process: from discovery and user research to rapid prototyping, wireframes, visual design, and developer hand-off.
Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate user requirements and business objectives into seamless, intuitive experiences.
Act with agility, produce and iterate on multiple design concepts to solve complex challenges and guide product strategy.
Develop high-fidelity, production-ready UI and design assets for web and mobile applications.
Establish and contribute to a scalable design system.
