Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program. Active registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). Certification from Sonography Canada (CRGS) in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology, with preference for RVT (CRVS) certification or eligibility for registration within six months of hire. ARDMS certification candidates may also be considered. Preferred experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatric, breast, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. FMF NT certification is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in producing high-quality ultrasound images. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities. Ability to effectively organize work, set objectives, and prioritize tasks. Capacity to cultivate an environment conducive to teaching and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ultrasound examinations following departmental protocols to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients.
  • Ensure top-notch patient care by adhering to hospital and departmental guidelines.
  • Uphold the hospital's mission and values, while strictly maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Deliver high-quality imaging to radiologists, providing thorough preliminary impressions and discussing findings as necessary.
  • Engage in additional tasks relevant to the ultrasound technologist role as needed.
