Job Summary:
As an Automation Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the automation and maintenance demands on the production floor. You will be responsible for training and assisting junior Automation Technicians with the repair and maintenance of automated machinery and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive work atmosphere and strive to achieve productivity targets and performance benchmarks.
- Ensure the maintenance work area and equipment are kept clean and organized.
- Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at critical points in the production line.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning components, including servos, sensors, and control systems.
- Prioritize automation tasks while adhering to maintenance protocols.
- Collaborate with production and scheduling departments for seamless repairs and automation operations.
- Remain active on the floor to provide hands-on troubleshooting of automated production equipment.
- Communicate unresolved issues to the next shift effectively.
- Complete all necessary paperwork associated with daily operations.
- Adhere to established procedures for managing spare parts inventory.
- Strictly follow all safety policies and escalate issues as per the plant's escalation plan.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; a skilled trades education is a plus, along with 5+ years of experience in machine maintenance.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand or sit for 8 to 12 hours per day and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs regularly. Willingness to perform overhead work and work below the waist is essential.
