Face-to-Face Interpreters
Telephone Interpreters

Please note that this is a self-employed position.

The Role

As an interpreter, you will be responsible for listening to, comprehending, and retaining information in the source language before accurately conveying it in the target language.

Your duties will include:

Providing interpretation services for individuals accessing legal, healthcare, and local government services
Verifying non-English speakers' understanding after each statement
Engaging in conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
Handling highly confidential information
Facilitating communication between service users and service providers

Requirements

Fluency in English and at least one other language
Right to work in the UK
Must be 21 years of age or older
Formal qualifications such as:

Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
Community Interpreting
NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration is a plus
Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
Any other interpreting-related qualifications
