About the Role

As a US Accountant based in the Philippines, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless monthly closing process. Your expertise will support rapidly growing US companies and CPA firms, enhancing both accuracy and clarity in financial reporting. This full-time independent contractor position requires exclusivity, allowing you to fully commit to driving financial effectiveness.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes including cash-flow projections while monitoring financial health for SMB clients.

  • Take ownership of financial reporting, ensuring timely preparation of balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash-flow statements along with insightful management reports.

  • Engage in client collaboration, translating complex financial information into understandable language and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies to ensure accurate financial documentation.

  • Drive process improvements by standardizing procedures, creating checklists, and suggesting automation solutions.

  • Ensure accurate payroll processing by calculating wages, deductions, and coordinating approvals for timely execution.

  • Maintain organized, audit-ready files and documentation to uphold data quality and controls.
