About the Role
As a US Accountant based in the Philippines, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless monthly closing process. Your expertise will support rapidly growing US companies and CPA firms, enhancing both accuracy and clarity in financial reporting. This full-time independent contractor position requires exclusivity, allowing you to fully commit to driving financial effectiveness.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes including cash-flow projections while monitoring financial health for SMB clients.
Take ownership of financial reporting, ensuring timely preparation of balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash-flow statements along with insightful management reports.
Engage in client collaboration, translating complex financial information into understandable language and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
Manage comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies to ensure accurate financial documentation.
Drive process improvements by standardizing procedures, creating checklists, and suggesting automation solutions.
Ensure accurate payroll processing by calculating wages, deductions, and coordinating approvals for timely execution.
Maintain organized, audit-ready files and documentation to uphold data quality and controls.
