About the Role
As a Tax Reviewer, your responsibilities will include ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality output across various tax return types, managing client communications, and providing support to a U. S.-based public accounting team.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of dedicated U. S. tax review experience (not merely preparation) in public accounting
- In-depth knowledge of U. S. federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Extensive review experience with: 1040, 1120/1120S, 1065, 1041
- Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated experience in client relationship management (updates, Q&A, and ownership)
- Proficiency in CCH Axcess, Canopy, and QuickBooks Online
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or EA (required for reviewer roles)
- MST or advanced tax coursework
- Experience working with U. S. firms in a nearshore/offshore capacity
- Familiarity with Slack, Teams, Zoom
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Review U. S. federal, state, and local returns for accuracy and compliance
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback to preparers
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance risks
- Manage client communication: updates, inquiries, and issue resolution
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Meet stringent review deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Collaborate with managers on complex tax issues
