Join Our Team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A unique opportunity awaits you at our Burton upon Trent site, where we are embarking on an exciting journey to strengthen our engineering capabilities. This position offers a 3-week rotating shift pattern, including day and night shifts (06:00 to 18:00 & 18:00 to 06:00), with no Sunday work and only one Saturday shift every three weeks.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our new Engineering team. We are looking for passionate professionals who are eager to contribute innovative ideas during this period of positive transformation. What Will You Do?
This role provides comprehensive engineering support and maintenance services across our manufacturing site. Your primary responsibilities will include Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns in production and support areas. Your goal is to ensure all equipment operates efficiently, and repairs are conducted safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance at the Burton site.
  • Manage maintenance tasks within departmental budgets.
  • Ensure availability of necessary maintenance spare parts.
  • Develop and implement key maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Achieve site KPIs in areas such as Health & Safety, production time efficiency, continuous improvement, and 8D problem-solving.
  • Complete maintenance schedules as outlined in the maintenance plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and corporate standards.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for value addition, efficiency improvement, and waste reduction through lean principles.
  • Collaborate with other central engineering functions, including EHSQ.
  • Perform additional tasks as required within the role's scope.

What Qualifications Are Required?

  • Background in mechanical maintenance.
  • Proficient in core mechanical workshop skills.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP - PM Module.
  • Familiarity with contractor control systems.
  • Experience working with Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance performance.
