Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an account plan that aligns with IPSC VA Account objectives to enhance market share and create new business opportunities across VA mission areas. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities consistent with the guidance of the IPSC VA Account Director. Engage proactively with VA stakeholders, program offices, and industry partners to effectively influence requirements development and upcoming RFx opportunities. Establish and maintain strong relationships with Systems Integrators and key influencers to ensure InterSystems technology is incorporated into VA proposals and architectures. Collaborate with Sales Engineers and internal teams to craft persuasive business and technical proposals, including responses to RFx’s. Ensure that issues raised by VA customers are addressed promptly and effectively by the organization. Represent InterSystems at VA-centered conferences, industry days, and technology forums.

Role overview

The Veterans Affairs Account Executive partners with the IPSC VA Account Director and Managing Director to carry out account strategies aimed at increasing InterSystems’ presence within the Department of Veterans Affairs. This position is based in either Boston, MA or Vienna, Virginia.

  • Support and implement account strategies for the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Work to expand IPSC’s footprint within the VA
  • Build and maintain relationships with VA stakeholders and partner organizations

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of VA domains and policies
  • Existing connections within the VA and partner networks
  • Background with mission systems, data platforms, interoperability, AI, or enterprise software, especially in secure or classified settings
  • Solid grasp of the federal procurement process, including contract vehicles, roles of prime and subcontractors, service and product distinctions, flow-down requirements, and contract management
