THE JOB

As a Veterinary Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing ultrasound support across VEG hospitals and training facilities. Your adaptability and eagerness to learn will be crucial as you encounter a variety of patient cases and techniques on a daily basis. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate training at your home hospital and regional locations.
  • Build strong relationships with teleconsultation radiologists providing feedback on your studies (e.g., Antech, SonoPath, IDEXX, VetsChoice, etc.).
  • Ensure all training content aligns with VEG's culture, mission, and vision, representing accurate and current sonographic techniques.
  • Track skills of the doctor and nursing teams using a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist.
  • Engage in self-assessment and program evaluation to enhance VEG’s ultrasound training initiatives.
  • Regularly meet with the medical director to discuss training and development.
