Position Overview

The Wealth Management Co-op offers a unique opportunity to engage in financial planning and investment activities. As a co-op, you will be involved in a variety of tasks and projects, gaining firsthand experience by collaborating with seasoned financial planners and investment management experts. This position is ideal for individuals eager to explore a career in the investment advisory and wealth management sector.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with financial planners to evaluate financial situations and input data into eMoney software, including account statements and holdings.
  • Organize and summarize clients' living expense data.
  • Assist with eMoney support and account connectivity.
  • Monitor and analyze the completion plan rate for each team member to enhance outcomes.
  • Help track Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) and Inherited RMDs.
  • Create client-friendly financial reports.
  • Attend client meetings in a supportive learning capacity when appropriate.
  • Participate in discussions with external mutual fund managers.
  • Conduct research and manage various miscellaneous projects.

Investment Management Responsibilities:

  • Gather information from call reports, review prior plans, and acquire missing data from clients.
  • Generate the corporate bond buy list two to three times a week.
  • Update and maintain the equity summary holding document.
  • Support wealth advisors in preparing materials for Strategic Asset Allocation Committee meetings.
  • Assist the Market Charts Committee in compiling investment and economic data for client meetings.
  • Join weekly Investment meetings, Acquiring and Retaining Clients meetings, Product Manager meetings, and other departmental meetings to learn.
  • Summarize and distribute weekly Investment meeting recap reports to all advisor groups.
  • Conduct research and due diligence on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) holdings.
