Join our dynamic team as a Web Analytics Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our dataLayer and optimizing our Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementation. Key Responsibilities:
- DataLayer & GTM Implementation: Lead the evolution of our custom dataLayer architecture in collaboration with development teams. Manage and troubleshoot GTM tags, triggers, and variables to ensure a consistent tracking infrastructure across digital platforms.
- Pixel & Consent Management: Implement and monitor marketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, etc.), ensuring compliance with GDPR and CCPA through integrated consent logic. Conduct rigorous quality assurance to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Looker Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain scalable LookML models, Explores, and dashboards, creating user-friendly analytics environments for stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Transform business objectives into actionable measurement specifications and implementation plans, serving as a strategic partner for marketing, product, and engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in web analytics engineering or implementation, preferably in DTC/e-commerce.
- In-depth knowledge of GTM, custom dataLayers, and pixel/tag management.
- Proficient in GA4 360 and BigQuery, with experience in data pipelines and advanced querying.
- Strong understanding of LookML and best practices in Looker dashboarding.
- Familiarity with privacy compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA) related to tracking technologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Working knowledge of server-side tagging using Google Tag Manager (GTM Server).
- Experience with attribution modeling tools or conversion APIs (e.g., Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions).
- Understanding of fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environments.
