As a Weld Repair Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing both non-automated and robotic welders, including popular brands such as Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric. You will perform teardown, evaluation, cleaning, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of welders. Additionally, you will maintain detailed evaluation notes and collaborate with the group leader to establish repair costs based on required parts and labor.
Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical prints and wiring schematics, creating and documenting test procedures, and ensuring cleanliness in the weld room and workbench area. You will also be required to travel to Miller Electric and Lincoln Electric training centers for certification.
This role demands effective communication across all company levels and the ability to work independently while remaining focused on tasks. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email and other office applications, are essential. Certification in hi-lo/crane operation is a plus. Strong organizational skills and good housekeeping practices are required. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
