We're developing a flexible WordPress framework to create modular websites using both custom content modules and Gutenberg blocks. The WordPress Content Designer will shape site structure and content layout, turning information architecture plans into live, polished pages. While formal design training isn't required, this role calls for a strong visual sense and technical skill to deliver user-friendly results.
What You Will Do
- Define and implement information architecture for new sites, including content hierarchy, navigation, and templates.
- Build and configure pages in Gutenberg, combining standard blocks with custom modules.
- Write and maintain CSS to customize block styles, ensuring sites look good and work well on any device.
- Work with content creators, designers, and developers to adapt existing modules and help identify needs for new custom blocks.
- Migrate, organize, and format content for clarity, engagement, and SEO alignment.
- Document site structures, block patterns, and content guidelines for future projects.
- Keep up with Gutenberg updates, accessibility standards (like WCAG), and front-end performance best practices.
