Your Role
We are currently seeking a talented Senior Android Engineer to join our Games & Buyer Ecosystem Team in China. In this role, you will implement best practices and utilize your expertise to develop features catering to our US and European markets.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and building gamified mechanisms for buyers to enhance key business metrics, including purchases and user engagement.
Creating interactive challenges and reward systems within the buyer ecosystem (e.g., promotions, achievement tasks, virtual point systems) that guide users and foster continued engagement.
Developing innovative features and systems for our Android mobile application with Kotlin.
Analyzing performance metrics and user feedback to refine product strategies, ensuring we deliver enjoyable experiences.
Who You Are
At Whatnot, we value individuals with a low ego, a growth mindset, and the ability to take action that leads to a high impact. As our next Senior Android Engineer, you should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in Android native development, and demonstrate:
Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
Experience in designing user-friendly applications and gamified experiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
