We are in search of a Senior Data Engineer who sets high technical standards and helps ensure that data consistently delivers value within the organization.As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and manage (alongside the team) the data platform and data infrastructure. You will translate business needs into robust solutions while ensuring that governance, security, and privacy are embedded “by design.” Specifically, this means:Building & Evolving the PlatformYou will develop and optimize data pipelines in PySpark (and where appropriate, SQL), from data source integration to curated datasets.You will expand the platform with multiple data sources, data models, and reusable components (standards, templates, libraries).You will deliver datasets as reliable data products for BI and other applications (data scientists, automation processes).CI/CD & Engineering ExcellenceYou will implement CI/CD processes for Databricks workloads and data products (including tests, quality checks, deployment, and version control).You will promote engineering best practices: code reviews, branching strategy, testing, monitoring, documentation, and runbooks.Governance, Security & ComplianceYou will collaborate closely with stakeholders (business) as well as with Security/Privacy/Legal teams to align on what is permissible.You will implement measures such as row-level security, data lineage and traceability, data retention, logging/auditing, and access management.Advisory & CollaborationYou will act as a sparring partner for business stakeholders: asking the right questions, making trade-offs explicit, and translating this into future-proof technical choices.
