About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Science Manager (Marketing) to spearhead our data initiatives in a rapidly growing environment. This role is crucial in shaping our data strategy, cultivating a data-driven culture, and ensuring we have the robust infrastructure and insights necessary for continued success as a leading African fintech.
You will work closely with our dedicated Marketing team and lead a passionate data team to implement our marketing strategy effectively. Your responsibilities will include enhancing our existing capabilities and defining the future roadmap. We are looking for an innovative and data-focused leader who can inspire both our team and our customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Be a key figure in developing a team of exceptional data scientists and analysts. Formulate and execute a comprehensive data strategy that sets the standard for excellence.
- Team Building & Management: Recruit, nurture, and retain a high-performing team of data professionals.
- Experimentation: Champion a culture of rigorous experimentation, including A/B testing, to guide product development and business decisions.
- Data Pipeline Ownership: Oversee the complete ownership, design, development, and implementation of our data pipelines.
