About the job
Are you an expert in epidemiology with a passion for advancing artificial intelligence? As large-scale language models transition from basic chatbots to influential tools for scientific exploration, your specialized knowledge can help shape the future of AI. By providing high-quality training data, you will play a crucial role in democratizing access to premier education, enhancing public health insights, and fostering evidence-based decision-making worldwide.
We are seeking epidemiology specialists who are well-versed in study design, disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, biostatistics, risk factor analysis, transmission dynamics, public health interventions, and evidence synthesis. You will engage with advanced language models on critical topics such as cohort and case-control studies, incidence and prevalence, R₀ and herd immunity, confounding and bias, causal inference, diagnostic test performance, and global health surveillance systems, documenting any shortcomings in model reasoning to refine our systems.
Your daily responsibilities will include discussing real-world epidemiological challenges and theoretical scenarios with the model, ensuring factual accuracy and logical coherence, capturing reproducible error paths, and proposing enhancements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
A PhD in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or a closely related field is highly desirable. Experience with peer-reviewed publications, applied research in population health, or work within public health agencies or field epidemiology will indicate a strong fit. Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate your thought process, are essential.
If you're ready to leverage your epidemiology expertise to inform the next generation of AI, we encourage you to apply today and start shaping the model that will educate the world.
