AECOM is actively seeking skilled and dedicated Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Case Managers to join our dynamic team in delivering essential applicant intake, outreach, and case management services across 27 Texas counties, including Anderson, Bell, Brazoria, Caldwell, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Fort Bend, Galveston, Guadalupe, Hardin, Hays, Henderson, Hockley, Jasper, Kaufman, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Polk, San Jacinto, Smith, Tyler, Trinity, Walker, and Wharton.The CDBG-DR Case Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating services and providing support to program applicants. In this position, a proficient Case Manager partners with individuals or families affected by disaster, acting as the primary contact to assist them in navigating the program requirements and addressing their housing recovery needs. Travel to regional and satellite locations is required, demanding travel of up to 100 miles roundtrip, 2-3 times per week; candidates must reside within commuting distance of the designated office.Key Responsibilities:Conduct outreach, intake, and assessments of program applicants, collecting necessary documentation to establish eligibility.Maintain a manageable caseload of applicants, ensuring regular communication to comply with program guidelines.Uphold confidentiality and provide superior customer service to protect applicants’ information.Keep client-related data systems updated, including case notes and timely record entries; accurately upload and categorize applicant documents.Provide prompt updates to applicants regarding their case status and subsequent steps.Participate in meetings and training sessions organized by the Program, both internal and external; attend pre-construction and key release events with applicants.Support applicants with temporary relocation options, if applicable.Engage in program-related community, coalition, and committee meetings as assigned; advocate for applicants and their housing needs.Collaborate effectively with Team, Team Lead, and Program Management to achieve program objectives and performance targets.Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics in client care, with a keen awareness of the impacts of disaster on individuals and communities.Possess a thorough understanding of all relevant Program policies, procedures, and requirements.Other responsibilities as assigned.
