About the job
Who We Are:
At Glydways, we are redefining public transit. We believe that enhanced mobility opens the door to opportunities by connecting individuals to housing, education, employment, commerce, and healthcare. By making transportation accessible, affordable, and sustainable, we empower communities to flourish and unlock both economic and social potential.
Our mission is to transform transit through a system that provides high capacity, exceptional user experiences, unparalleled affordability, and minimal environmental impact.
The Glydways system is an innovative network of carbon-neutral, interconnected transit pathways powered by standardized autonomous vehicles operating on dedicated roadways. With 24/7 availability and on-demand access, it delivers personalized and efficient mobility without the burdens of significant upfront infrastructure costs or ongoing taxpayer subsidies.
With Glydways, we are not just building a transportation system; we are creating a future where everyone, everywhere, has the freedom to move.
Meet the Team:
The Safety, Quality and Compliance team is dedicated to developing and maintaining the safety framework for the Glydways transit technology and network projects. This team collaborates across engineering, operations, and project delivery to ensure that the Glydways system adheres to the highest safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards. Team members regularly engage with transit agencies, independent safety assessors, and relevant authorities to secure approvals for passenger service. Safety is a core value at Glydways, and this team embodies that commitment.
About the Role:
The System Safety Project Engineer will oversee the safety and certification of Glydways automated transit network projects intended for passenger operation, progressing from late-stage design through to testing, commissioning, and operational readiness. The role involves owning the project safety case and compiling necessary evidence for authorities, independent safety assessors, partners, and operating agencies to authorize the system for service. The engineer will also collaborate closely with operations to uphold safety standards throughout daily service.
