The Role

In the role of Account Executive - SMB, you will manage a dynamic and high-volume sales process focusing on:

  • Individual founders

  • Early-stage startups

  • Small companies (1–100 employees)

  • Organizations sponsoring their initial visas or small batches

You will conduct fast-paced, consultative sales cycles, guiding clients from the initial conversation to closing deals while educating them on visa options, timelines, and Alma's distinct advantages over traditional law firms.

This position is heavily focused on closing deals, with robust inbound and outbound lead generation, making it perfect for individuals who excel in high-velocity environments and enjoy facilitating founders' first steps into global hiring.

Compensation

OTE: $160,000 - $180,000 based on qualifications and experience.
Base Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
Commission: $70,000 - $80,000

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee a full-cycle sales process for SMB clients: discovery → demo/assessment → proposal → close

  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of founders and small enterprises

  • Qualify incoming leads and actively seek out early-stage companies

  • Provide education on various visa categories (H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3, L-1, PERM, etc.) from a practical business perspective

  • Assess customer hiring plans, urgency, budget, and risk tolerance

  • Position Alma as a tech-forward alternative to traditional law firms and boutique immigration agencies

  • Close new customer accounts while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
