About the job

The Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy (ELSA) is a dedicated four-year certificate program designed to empower students with disabilities. We are currently searching for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to instruct two vital communications courses during the upcoming academic sessions:

  • ELS 039-85 Communications II, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:50-4:30 PM, starting September 1, 2026. This course aims to enhance students' interpersonal communication abilities, focusing on establishing and maintaining healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and managing conflicts. Through engaging discussions, reflective practices, and experiential exercises, students will refine their communication skills and achieve their personal goals.
  • ELS 038-85 Communications I, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:50-4:30 PM, starting February 2, 2027. This foundational course will introduce students to essential interpersonal communication strategies. Participants will analyze effective and ineffective communication methods across different contexts, including digital and face-to-face interactions. By implementing observation, modeling, and practical exercises, students will develop the skills necessary for successful interactions in daily life, professional settings, and personal relationships.
