Are you enthusiastic about mathematics? Do you have a knack for motivating young scholars in an interactive and collaborative classroom environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking substitute instructors for upper-level/contest mathematics who can teach Geometry through Calculus. Availability during weekday evenings and/or Sunday afternoons (12 PM - 5 PM) is essential.

As a Part-Time Instructor, you will:

  • Deliver an Engaging Curriculum: Utilize our specially designed curriculum and materials tailored for advanced learners to guide small math classes.
  • Foster Student Engagement: Actively involve students in discussions and student-led learning.
  • Manage the Classroom Effectively: Skillfully oversee classes of up to 16 students.
  • Assess and Provide Constructive Feedback: Evaluate tests and assignments and offer insightful feedback.
  • Cultivate Relationships: Connect with students and their families to create a significant impact on their educational experience.
  • Inspire a Passion for Learning: Promote a love for mathematics and encourage critical thinking.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM-related or educational field.
  • Possesses strong mathematical content knowledge.
  • Has experience in classroom teaching at the K-12 level, including tutoring.

Note: A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.

Schedule (Academic Year):

  • Classes are held during evenings and weekends. Candidates must be available to teach from as early as 4 PM on weekdays and/or on weekends.
  • Initial commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class is necessary.
  • Each course consists of a weekly meeting lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes.
