As an Advanced NDT Technician within our tank inspection team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of storage tanks. You will conduct thorough inspections, collect and analyze data, and provide valuable recommendations to ensure our tanks meet the highest standards and regulations. Collaborating closely with clients and team members, you will strive for optimal results.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) in accordance with EEMUA 159 and API 653 guidelines;
Systematically recording inspection results and deviations, interpreting them to assess tank integrity;
Preparing detailed inspection reports outlining findings, conclusions, and maintenance or repair recommendations;
Discussing inspection results with clients and advising on necessary actions. Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient inspections;
Ensuring that all inspections comply with relevant standards and regulations while following safety guidelines and procedures;
Managing inspection equipment, including maintenance and calibration, to ensure accurate and reliable results;
Keeping up-to-date with technical knowledge and developments through training and education to stay informed of the latest inspection techniques and methods.
By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of storage tanks, which is essential for both the environment and society.
The NDT methods we utilize include:
Ultrasonic testing, both manually and with a tank wall crawler;
Slop tank floor scanning;
Magnetic testing;
Penetrant testing;
Visual inspection.
The results from these tests will be reported in the tank inspection reporting tool, after which a tank inspector will evaluate the results to assess the tank or prepare a repair recommendation.
