Role Overview: Analytical and Laboratory Assistant

This position plays a key part in Birdman’s quality control team. The role centers on technical leadership in laboratory analysis, supporting food safety, and ensuring products meet internal and external standards.

Main Objectives

  • Maintain compliance with production processes according to regulatory, normative, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and apply microbiological, analytical, and physicochemical tests to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Conduct shelf life and stability studies for new and existing products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate analytical techniques for evaluating products and processes.
  • Ensure analytical methods for finished products meet regulatory standards and technical data sheet requirements.
  • Report non-conformities found in raw materials to suppliers.
  • Support evaluation of new products and processes to confirm analytical compliance for new developments.
  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the analytical area.
  • Work with operations teams to improve analytical methodologies for products.
  • Analyze results from analytical, physicochemical, and microbiological tests on finished products to identify trends and recommend preventive actions.
  • Coordinate microbiological and physicochemical testing for in-process products, finished goods, and raw materials.
  • Respond to customer complaints related to microbiological and physicochemical characteristics of finished products.
  • Issue quality alerts to communicate customer complaints or recurring non-conformities.
