Qualifications

Qualifications3-5 years of experience in data and/or systems analysis, with a portion in a formal BI environment. A university degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, or equivalent industry experience. Demonstrated proficiency in analytics, business process analysis, and effective communication of recommendations across all organizational levels. Practical knowledge of data processing and storage systems. Experience with relational database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, or SQL Server. Proven ability to write complex data queries in relevant languages for data retrieval, analysis, and problem-solving. Strong aptitude for self-discovery and understanding complex data domains. Advanced skills in Excel. Familiarity with Data Governance, Agile methodologies, and QA standards. Ability to think critically under pressure, especially in ambiguous situations and tight deadlines. Experience using GitHub and JIRA or similar project management tools.

About the Role

As an Analytics Engineer at JUMO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Senior Analytics Engineers across various functional data domains. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and Data Engineers to fulfill data requests, both internally and for external partners. Your direct report will be to the Team Lead of Data Modelling & Reporting.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders including Product Owners from technology platforms, Data & Prediction teams, Finance, Marketing, and external partners to investigate data from the data warehouse and operational data stores to solve real-world challenges.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the end-to-end architecture of your functional domain, enabling you to troubleshoot issues and carry out ad-hoc data extraction.
  • Conduct quality assurance on both new and existing datasets and data pipelines to identify inconsistencies and anomalies, guiding problem resolution and data cleansing efforts.
  • Leverage advanced querying and data discovery skills for ad-hoc analysis to support both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clearly articulate reporting requirements and possess the capability to create operational reports and strategic dashboards.
