Qualifications

Essential QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED, with:Proven experience applying technical skills beyond the classroom (e.g., through extracurricular project teams, personal initiatives, internships). Associate's Degree, Trade School certification, or equivalent, or 3+ years in a technical role involving prototyping and development. Familiarity with basic electronics lab equipment, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, microscopes, and spectrum analyzers. Certification in IPC-A-610, 7711, 7721 J-STD-001 (Space and Military Applications Electronic Hardware Addendum), and IPC CID/CID+. Capability to read and understand technical documents, such as electrical schematics, datasheets, and mechanical drawings. Experience in quality control, inspection, and product testing. Knowledge of IPC standards. Basic electrical understanding is beneficial.

Role Overview

The Assembly and Test Technician joins the production team in Los Angeles, CA. This role focuses on assembling, testing, and preparing hardware systems for deployment. Precision, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn matter most. Soldering skills help but are not required. The work involves both mechanical and electronic components, and suits those who enjoy hands-on problem solving in a detail-oriented setting.

What You Will Do

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic parts using tools such as torque wrenches, following detailed procedures.
  • Apply staking materials to secure assemblies.
  • Track builds and workflow using production tracking software.
  • Run basic test scripts and bash commands on hardware systems.
  • Document and communicate test results clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues during assembly or testing.
