Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper/Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process, which includes essential tasks such as sanding, priming, and masking. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth within our paint department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Smooth vehicle surfaces by sanding with sandpaper, grinders, or other tools to prepare for painting
  • Apply masking tape and paper to safeguard areas of the vehicle that will not be painted
  • Ensure surfaces are adequately prepared for painting through cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
  • Guarantee proper paint adhesion by eliminating dirt, debris, and imperfections from surfaces
  • Assist in mixing paint and primers as per manufacturer specifications
  • Help operate and maintain painting equipment and tools
  • Collaborate with the painting team to promote efficient workflow and high-quality results
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager
