Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team at CSN Unitech. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to assess damaged vehicles and restore them to their original structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential as priorities may shift throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review damage reports and repair cost estimates to plan necessary work.
- Conduct thorough examinations of collision damage, ensuring all exterior body parts and power accessories are operational, and identifying any prior damages that may have been overlooked.
- Perform structural and comprehensive body repairs: Repair or replace front-end components, body parts, doors, frames, and underbody components, including electrical and vehicle accessories.
- Utilize MIG welders and compression spot welders for vehicle repairs.
- Dismantle damaged vehicle areas to uncover hidden damages as early as possible, replacing parts as necessary.
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using both power and hand tools.
- Operate soldering equipment or apply plastic filler to repair holes, dents, and seams.
- Restore vehicles to factory specifications to ensure compliance with OEM standards.
- Inspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives to verify proper handling.
- Read and comprehend repair estimates and automotive repair procedures effectively.
- Work confidently with various metals, plastics, glass, and mechanical parts.
- Demonstrate experience in vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
- Follow standardized production processes diligently.
