The Autobody Painter plays a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their pristine condition following collisions, dents, scratches, or other forms of damage. You will apply advanced painting, refinishing, and paint-matching techniques to ensure results that meet or surpass factory standards, guaranteeing customer satisfaction with every vehicle that leaves our shop.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare vehicle surfaces meticulously for painting, which includes sanding, cleaning, smoothing, masking, and priming as required to secure optimal adhesion and finish.Expertly apply primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats utilizing the correct formulations as per the specifications laid out by the paint manufacturer.Deliver exceptional paint and refinishing work, including precise color matching and blending new paint with existing surfaces to achieve a flawless finish.Refinish vehicles in compliance with insurance standards and the quality benchmarks established by management.Work collaboratively with collision-repair technicians to assess the extent of damage and any structural or body issues that need to be addressed prior to painting.Uphold a clean and organized paint booth and workspace, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations regarding the handling of paints and materials.Engage in ongoing training, including in-house sessions and I-CAR training, to remain updated on industry best practices and techniques.QualificationsPrevious experience as an auto-body painter or refinish technician is required.Demonstrated proficiency in color matching and blending to achieve factory-quality finishes.Strong attention to detail, patience, excellent hand-eye coordination, and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to thrive in a dynamic collision-repair shop environment, often under time constraints.Eagerness to participate in continuous training and improvement, including in-house and I-CAR certification.BenefitsAttractive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package including dental, health, vision, and paid time off.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Schedule: 8.5-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
