About the Role:
The Automotive Store Manager is a pivotal salaried position responsible for leading store operations and team dynamics. This role involves daily leadership across various store roles, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Managers. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Store Manager is tasked with fostering a collaborative environment, selecting, coaching, and developing a high-performing team. This position aligns with Monro’s vision of becoming America’s foremost auto service and tire center, celebrated for exceptional service and trust within local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and develop sales and technical teams to ensure a consistent 5-star guest experience.
- Drive sales performance by crafting and executing effective sales strategies while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of products and services in the automotive sector.
- Promote tire and service products to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support teammates in a productive sales environment through comprehensive training on operational procedures and guest services.
- Provide leadership and technical support to technicians, assisting with services and repairs as needed.
- Oversee staffing needs by managing recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and developing team members.
- Control expenses by managing payroll, utilities, maintenance, and other operational costs.
- Manage inventory, including the pulling of tires and parts, as well as stocking and unloading shipments.
- Conduct audits on courtesy inspections performed by team members.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness and operational readiness to Monro standards.
- Schedule appointments and assign tasks based on team members’ skills for efficient service delivery.
- Achieve sales targets by effectively communicating product recommendations and promotional offers.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and service adjustments promptly.
- Build and nurture guest relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist team members in articulating service and repair needs to guests.
- Adhere to company policies, governmental regulations, and safety standards consistently.
