About NODA AI

NODA AI is a pioneering, veteran-owned technology firm dedicated to revolutionizing the collaboration of unmanned systems in complex, mission-critical scenarios. Our innovative solutions are at the forefront of autonomous orchestration across diverse domains, including air, sea, land, and space, serving essential functions in the defense, intelligence, and commercial sectors.

Our autonomy engineers are vital in bridging the gap between high-level AI-driven mission objectives and effective real-world execution, enabling UAVs, USVs, and UUVs to operate seamlessly in challenging environments. By joining our team, you will contribute to transformative technology that redefines the limits of autonomy in a collaborative, fast-paced atmosphere.

The Role

As an Autonomy Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing the autonomy stack that drives adaptive multi-vehicle orchestration. Your expertise will focus on mission planning, path generation, behavior execution, and task allocation within diverse fleets.

You will work at the convergence of AI reasoning frameworks, ROS2-based autonomy stacks, and distributed multi-agent systems to ensure mission intent is executed reliably and adapted to real-world conditions. Success in this role demands a robust technical foundation in robotics, practical systems thinking, and a fervor for delivering dependable autonomy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement autonomy modules, including path planning, task allocation, behavior trees, and reactive execution models.

  • Develop and maintain the autonomy framework that interconnects with orchestration (AI-driven mission planning) and world modeling.

  • Ensure AI-generated plans are executable, explainable, and safe across multi-domain robotic platforms.

  • Implement and validate navigation, control, and autonomy behaviors for UAVs, USVs, and UUVs using ROS2 and simulation environments.

  • Profile and optimize autonomy performance for edge compute hardware (e.g., Jetson, Raspberry Pi-class devices).
