About the Role:
We are on a mission to scale our marketplace, and to achieve this, we need a robust and scalable technology infrastructure capable of handling complex logistics, real-time inventory, and seamless transactions. We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to build new features, implement scalable system architecture, and enhance the foundational elements of our platform.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering and Product teams in a flat, inclusive environment. We value autonomy, allowing you to take ownership of your features from the initial coding stage through to final deployment.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance core marketplace features using PHP (Laravel)
Create tools to optimize logistics, warehouse operations, and order flows
Take ownership of features from design to implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Engage in architectural decision-making as we expand our systems
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code to support long-term growth
Utilize MySQL and Redis to develop fast, scalable APIs and background workers
Enhance performance, reliability, and resilience across our platform
Leverage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for smooth and secure deployments
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams in a supportive structure
Participate in code reviews and promote best coding practices
