Key Responsibilities of the Behavioral Conduct Specialist include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of client behavior utilizing standardized methods and direct observation.
  • Creating and implementing tailored behavior modification plans aligned with individual objectives.
  • Delivering direct therapeutic support to individuals struggling with behavioral and conduct disorders.
  • Collaborating with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to devise effective strategies.
  • Tracking client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of client behavior, interventions, and progress in compliance with agency standards.

To thrive in this role, you should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults who have behavioral disorders. A solid understanding of behavior modification principles and evidence-based interventions is crucial, alongside exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team is also essential.

Preferred qualifications include certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, and experience in a community mental health context. Certification in behavior analysis (BCBA or BCaBA) is a valuable asset.
