We are in the process of developing a premium contractor network across Los Angeles County and are in search of a motivated and resourceful Business Development Representative to drive our vendor acquisition efforts.
This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in outbound sales, excel at creating structured prospect lists, and have a knack for transforming cold outreach into significant marketplace growth. Your responsibilities will extend beyond just making calls; you will play a key role in developing the systems that facilitate vendor expansion.
You are an exceptional communicator with a persuasive tone, adept at cold calling and establishing relationships with trade professionals. Your self-driven and results-oriented mindset allows you to work efficiently with lead data and productivity tracking tools in a fast-paced startup environment. You possess strong sales instincts and the agility to tailor your messaging while maintaining engaging and professional interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with high-quality contractors actively serving Los Angeles County.
- Perform outbound outreach through phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Create organized and segmented prospect lists by trade and service area.
- Effectively present and communicate our marketplace value proposition.
- Address and manage objections concerning competitors like Angi, Yelp, HomeAdvisor, and Thumbtack.
- Qualify vendors based on geographical location, licensing, and reputation standards.
- Guide approved vendors through a streamlined onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate tracking using Google Sheets or a CRM.
- Deliver structured weekly performance updates.
