The Tsui Group is looking for a Business Analyst I to join its team supporting educational facility construction projects in Los Angeles County. This role focuses on financial management for a major Bond Program, with close collaboration alongside the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams. The work ensures financial operations are accurate, compliant, and timely.

What you will do

  • Support the Accounting Manager by analyzing ongoing financial activities related to the Bond Program.
  • Prepare and review vendor documentation for payment processing.
  • Review and analyze transactions using Deltek Costpoint, the program's accounting software.
  • Identify discrepancies in financial data and help develop solutions to prevent future issues.
  • Create new reports to improve transparency into Bond Program spending.
  • Review invoices and process approved payables according to established accounting protocols.
  • Enter invoice payment requests into the accounting system.
  • Communicate with construction and professional services vendors as needed.
  • Resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist in analyzing payments to general contractors.
  • Evaluate monthly accounting reports to monitor and control expenditures.
  • Collaborate with external team members on cost commitments and expenditure matters.
  • Prepare and process journal entries.
  • Work with other departments to resolve payment issues and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Ensure all payment requests comply with bond requirements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, communicating and presenting information clearly.
  • Take on other related duties as assigned.
