What You Will Do

As the Business Development Manager for Japan, you will spearhead our efforts to expand by identifying and securing new business opportunities in the Japanese market. You will report directly to our Regional Sales Director and manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and cold calling to intricate contract negotiations. Acting as a strategic partner to our clients, you will tailor proposals that align with their unique needs while advancing Lighthouse’s commercial objectives. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who excels at building a territory from the ground up and facilitating a vital feedback loop between the Japanese market and our Product Development team.

Where You Will Have Impact

  • Identify and secure new client opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, and networking within professional industry groups in Japan.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, including responding to inbound inquiries, conducting product demonstrations, and preparing customized proposals.
  • Develop and implement a business development plan to meet sales targets and enhance local processes.
  • Identify and close upsell opportunities within our existing client base to guarantee they derive maximum value from our tools.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Japanese market and our internal Product teams by sharing client feedback to inform product updates.
  • Participate in industry conferences and organize regional roadshows to bolster our presence in the APAC region.
  • Contribute to defining the 'Lighthouse way' by leveraging AI insights and automation within our CRM and conversation tools to enhance forecast accuracy and daily efficiency.
