Requirements:Demonstrated experience in business development or sales, preferably within the video game or technology outsourcing sectors. Proven track record in selling services, particularly QA, localization, or game development support. A robust network within the gaming industry is highly desirable; connections in other industries are also welcome. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with game development lifecycles and localization/QA processes is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meetings, conferences, and client engagements. Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluent English. Flexibility with working hours to accommodate international client needs.

We are on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to propel our Localization and QA services in Japan. This pivotal client-facing role emphasizes fostering relationships with game studios and publishers, driving new partnerships, and establishing Side as a trusted partner in delivering outstanding gaming experiences worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Growth: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities for Localization, LQA, and QA testing within the gaming industry and associated technology sectors.
  • Strategic Outreach: Develop and implement targeted go-to-market strategies for studios and publishers, customizing proposals to align with each client's technical and creative requirements.
  • Client Relationships: Build and sustain long-term partnerships with producers, localization managers, and executives, representing Side with professionalism and insight.
  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Oversee the complete sales process, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation, closing, and post-sale transition.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with internal delivery, operations, and marketing teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Market Intelligence: Remain updated on industry trends, competitor services, and emerging localization technologies to guide strategic choices.
  • Brand Representation: Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance Side's visibility and establish trusted industry connections.
