We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to oversee the Bromborough area. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, cultivate, and sustain a pipeline of new business opportunities, driving profitable revenue growth within our small to medium-sized customer division. This role is part of our new business team, where you will tackle both daily and strategic challenges. You will need the ambition and enthusiasm to achieve sales returns through structured management of your sales activities and processes. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining Biffa's competitive edge in service offerings, business models, and operational methods.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively and reactively selling profitable new business within your assigned territory to achieve set KPIs and targets.
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding monthly new business targets.
  • Managing a sales territory and developing prospect lists for new business opportunities.
  • Logging calls, leads, quotes, and contract activities into the Company Operating System.
  • Providing and presenting personal performance reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as required.
  • Regularly collaborating with the Regional Commercial Manager, Depot Manager, and Regional General Manager to strategize on sales initiatives within the region.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between Biffa and our prospective customers.
  • Conducting door-to-door sales prospecting and negotiating pricing.
