As the Chief Estimator at Adsbøll in Kolding, you will oversee the department with support from a calculator and report directly to the Director of Project Development. Your department will lead the formulation and execution of bids based on tender materials, resulting in subsequent tasks that production will bring to life. The role of Chief Estimator requires a strong desire to collaborate across the organization. You will also act as a sparring partner for project development concerning pricing and calculations.
Your Responsibilities
- We expect you to view your role from a commercial perspective and know what it takes to win projects in the market. Specifically, your tasks will include:
- Formulating and executing bids based on tender materials
- Identifying relevant construction projects through analysis from Parabyg and other portals, including daily responsibility for the PQ phase in collaboration with the project coordinator
- Ensuring precise and competitive bid calculations
- Managing personnel
Your Profile
You hold a degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar field. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably from a larger company. You handle the Office Suite at a high level, especially Excel and Word are your everyday tools. Familiarity with Revit and Sigma would be advantageous.
You possess strong networking abilities and thrive with a wide range of contacts as the job requires close dialogue with various departments within the organization. You enjoy having a central role where success depends on positive collaboration with procurement, production, and external relations. You are curious and oriented towards the overall business model of project development and its inputs to production. Your profile is characterized by structure, systematic thinking, and independence.
