About the Role

As the Chief of Staff at SumUp, you will serve as a strategic ally to a C-level executive, facilitating the translation of organizational strategy into actionable plans. This pivotal role involves overseeing, planning, and communicating global initiatives and projects while enhancing the efficiency of various teams and processes. You will engage in close collaboration with C-level stakeholders to manage a wide range of topics and initiatives.

Your responsibilities will encompass project management, strategic initiative oversight, communications, and cross-functional coordination, requiring a deep understanding of SumUp's context and an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. This position significantly impacts decision-making at the leadership level.

Beyond project delivery, the Chief of Staff will drive essential events and communications, including all-employee meetings, retreats, and quarterly OKR reviews, ensuring that our mission and strategy remain central to these interactions. In essence, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of SumUp.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate across functions to facilitate change, advance strategic projects, and ensure teams meet their objectives.
  • Plan and facilitate key meetings, such as board meetings, OKR sessions, and annual retreats.
  • Continuously enhance collaborative practices within teams.
  • Manage budget and financial planning in conjunction with FP&A, particularly concerning Capital Allocation Agreements.
  • Coordinate resources for special initiatives and projects, including project management follow-through, and at times, leading specific initiatives.
  • Organize pivotal team events that reinforce company culture, connectivity, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Communicate effectively through compelling internal and external storytelling.
