As a Client/Server Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of sophisticated enterprise projects. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that the Authority's integrated systems are effectively supported and utilized.
Your responsibilities will include consulting with user departments regarding system requirements, addressing operational challenges, resolving issues, and recommending future enhancements. You will also participate in the evaluation of system design and implementation, approving functional and technical design documents, and overseeing the implementation of system upgrades and modifications.
In this role, you will prepare and assist in the creation of scope of work, project proposals, and requests for proposals for the acquisition, revision, and installation of application systems. You will represent the IT department at meetings and conferences with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders related to assigned systems.
Monitoring project budgets and ensuring compliance with client standards and procedures will also be part of your duties. You will oversee the management of IT projects in critical areas such as Project Management, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Scheduling.
Additionally, you will lead the acquisition and contract negotiations for software products, conducting business requirement analyses and data integration studies using intelligent transportation standards. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing, evaluating, and approving system changes while determining feasibility and alternative solutions.
Your leadership will be guided by best practices and a deep understanding of strategic priorities, anticipating the IT needs of the Authority. You will also oversee a Quality Control program to ensure compliance with approved development standards for new systems and enhancements.
Lastly, you will prepare and deliver detailed oral and written reports and recommendations within your designated areas, applying standard architectural frameworks such as ITS, TEAF, or Transmodel to enhance the client enterprise.
