Your Role
As a Clinical Psychologist at GuideStar Eldercare, you will be instrumental in delivering neuro-behavioral health services to residents in long-term care facilities. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, you will collaborate with specialty clinicians to ensure holistic and continuous care for elderly patients facing neurocognitive disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as other neurological and psychiatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations
- Differentiate diagnoses, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Vascular conditions
- Administer cognitive assessments
- Provide specific therapeutic support or, when necessary, insight-based therapy
- Collaborate on the patient’s care plan with facility staff, primary care providers, and GuideStar colleagues, while engaging family members as appropriate.

Qualifications for Success
An active state Psychologist license is required, along with a genuine passion for working with the geriatric population and an interest in neurobehavioral science. A desire to impact the lives of individuals battling Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders is essential. An HSPP designation is preferred in applicable states.
